Welcome to Taik — an instant messaging app where you can chat with AI-powered characters from history, mythology, and popular culture. Please read the following Terms of Service and Privacy Policy carefully before using our services.
By downloading, installing, or using Taik, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Terms of Service
1.1 Service Description
Taik is a mobile instant messaging application that combines traditional IM features (adding friends, real-time messaging) with AI-driven character conversations. Users can add AI virtual characters — inspired by historical figures, mythological beings, and fictional personas — as contacts and engage in immersive dialogues with them. All AI characters are generated by artificial intelligence and do not represent real individuals.
1.2 Eligibility & Accounts
To use Taik, you must meet the following requirements:
- •You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your region).
- •You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- •You may not transfer, sell, or share your account with others.
1.3 User Conduct
When using Taik, you agree not to:
- •Post or transmit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- •Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation.
- •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
- •Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our prior written permission.
- •Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to Taik.
- •Use the service for any commercial purpose without our authorization.
1.4 AI-Generated Content
You acknowledge and understand that conversations with AI characters are generated by artificial intelligence technology. Please be aware:
- •AI characters are fictional and do not represent the views of any real historical figure, mythological entity, or fictional character's rights holder.
- •AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as factual, legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
- •AI character dialogues are for entertainment and educational purposes only.
- •We continuously improve AI quality, but cannot guarantee that all responses will be accurate or appropriate.
1.5 Intellectual Property
All content within the Taik app — including but not limited to AI character designs, avatars, dialogue systems, UI design, and brand logos — is owned by Taik or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without prior written permission. Content you create or send through the service remains yours, but you grant Taik a limited license to process and transmit it as necessary to provide the service.
1.6 Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the service in a way that may harm Taik or other users. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
1.7 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taik and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of or inability to use the service. The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind.
1.8 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
1.9 Third-Party Services
Taik may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (such as payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, and analytics tools). These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Taik is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services, and your use of such services is at your own risk.
1.10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Taik and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
1.11 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Taik's operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where Taik's operating entity is located. Users in the European Union retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
1.12 General Provisions
- •Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- •Entire Agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Taik regarding the use of the service, superseding any prior agreements.
- •Waiver: The failure of Taik to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- •Force Majeure: Taik shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or internet/infrastructure failures.

Since Taik's core feature involves AI character conversations, we want to be transparent about how this data is handled:

- •We do not use the content of your conversations with real users (non-AI) for AI training purposes.

If granted, contact information is used solely for friend discovery and is not stored on our servers beyond what is necessary for this feature. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

Taik operates globally, and your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own.
